Transformers G1 TV Series

Season 1

Season 2

49 episodes, 1985. The longest G1 season — and the one that introduced the combiner teams. Episode guides for the full season, including every new character debut from the Aerialbots to the Predacons.

Season 3

30 episodes, 1986–1987. Set in 2005 after the events of the animated movie. A new generation of Autobots rises under Rodimus Prime while Galvatron leads a reshaped Decepticon army.

Season 4

3 episodes, 1987. The US series finale – the “Rebirth” trilogy – introducing Headmasters, Targetmasters and Powermasters in a race to control the Plasma Energy Chamber.

Japanese G1 Trilogy

Transformers Headmasters

35 episodes, 1987. The Japanese continuation that picks up where Season 3 left off. Produced by Toei Animation for TV Tokyo, Headmasters expands the G1 universe with a new cast and a distinctly different tone to the US series.

Transformers Masterforce

42 episodes, 1988. The second Japanese exclusive series introduced Pretenders and Godmasters – humans who merge with Transformers to become warriors. Features Ginrai, the Japanese counterpart to Powermaster Optimus Prime.

Transformers Victory

44 episodes, 1989. The final entry in the Japanese G1 trilogy. Star Saber leads the Autobots against Deathsaurus and his Decepticon forces, featuring the Breastforce and Dinoforce combiner teams.

G1 Movies

Transformers The Movie 86

The 1986 animated theatrical film that changed everything. Unicron threatens to consume Cybertron, Optimus Prime falls, and a new generation rises. Breakdowns, character guides and figure connections for the movie that defined the G1 era.

Transormers One

The 2024 CGI origin story of how Orion Pax and D-16 became Optimus Prime and Megatron. The first Transformers film set entirely on Cybertron before the war — and a love letter to G1 lore.

Bumblebee The Movie

The 2018 film that brought G1-accurate designs back to the big screen. Set in 1987 and beloved by G1 fans for its aesthetic, Bumblebee is the live-action entry point for any collector who grew up with the original toys.
